Three days before we're on the road. A road to a great adventure, at least for me. I've never been to a show far from home, and only as a client. I've always been working, wishing I could be showing, but having to be content at watching others show.
But not this time! Thanks to a wonderful owner who lent me her horse for the trip, a super boss who let me take two months off work so I didn't have to worry (one of the many reasons I'm taking 2 months off), and an awesome boyfriend who is paying for it I am able to skip town and go to British Columbia and show at Milner Downs and Thunderbird.
Originally I was just planing to go as a spectator, as a photographer, as a cheering squad, but the fates have decided I'm going to catch a break and let me go as a rider (as well as all the above). Needless to say I am over the moon excited and near throwing up nervous all at once.
This will be two weeks of fun and excitement and blog posts about the whole thing. Accompanying photos of course taken by yours truly in an effort to be a ringside photographer.
