Monday - Day off

Monday started with a sleep in, then breakfast by Chris at the camp ground. Bacon, eggs, toast, champagne and orange juice, and Tim Hortons (ok, that last part was added by me) Christine had already moved the horses over to Thunderbird from Milner Downs since she is an earlier riser and decided to make use of the early morning instead of waiting for the rest of us sleepy heads.

After breakfast we headed over to Thunderbird to say hello to our mighty steeds and take them for a walk. I know for sure that Balou was positive he was going home and was very confused to see he was still not in his field eating grass! An hour later we decided to head out and see more of BC.

Pam and I stopped at near by Fort Langley. A quaint little town was fun little restaurants and at least two candy stores and one chocolate store (on a 5 block strip). Christine, Lisa, Chris, Marissa and Jill joined us later to wander around and we ended up eating at a diner which looked like it was out of the 60's. With a life size statue of Elvis, pictures of Marilyn and James Dean and a jukebox in the corner which really worked!

After this Pam and I went exploring and after a quick stop at the hotel to get some directions (thanks to the front desk and google maps) we ended up in White Rock. An awesome little town on the coast. All the houses were built up the hillsides like stairs so everyone had an ocean view. A place to visit again for sure! (and we could see the US border a ten minute drive away). Once we got home (after exploring up the coast to Crescent Beach – another charming place to visit- we ended up getting back to the hotel where Pam spent the rest of the night looking up real estate along the areas we had just visited. Of course the houses were slightly out of her price range at 5 million dollars (but soooo gorgeous!)
